| INFORMATION
If you are a renter, you have to worry about some of the same things as a homeowner. There could be a fire, you could have something stolen, someone could be injured in your apartment and sue you. By purchasing a Tenant's Homeowners (or Renters's) Policy, you can obtain the coverage you need to protect yourself and your personal property. The Renter's Policy includes coverage in four areas:
The standard Renter's Policy provides coverage to your Personal Property for the perils of: fire, lightning, windstorm, hail, explosion, riot, civil commotion, aircraft, vehicles, smoke, vandalism, malicious mischief, theft, volcanic eruption, falling objects, weight of ice/snow/sleet, accidental discharge, rupture of heating/air conditioning system, freezing, and artificially generated current. A loss caused to personal property by anything other than the perils listed above is not covered. Additional coverages that can be purchased to supplement the standard Renter's Policy include: Personal Property Replacement Cost, Scheduled Personal Property, and Personal Injury Protection. Do you have an accurate inventory of your personal property
and its value?
