You are out on a lake enjoying a beautiful sun-filled summer day on your new boat. Did you remember to contact your agent about getting a boat insurance policy?

The standard Boat Insurance Policy provides two types of coverage:

Watercraft Liability- Protects you if your boat injures another person or damages another boat or someone else's property

Physical Damage- Covers your boat, motor, and trailer for damage caused by perils insured under the policy. Some basic perils would be fire, theft, vandalism, windstorm, lightning, striking submerged objects, and collision.
